Keep Breathing

written by Shannon Sheridan

Keep Breathing is a television pilot that centers on a girl, Jo, who is attacked at a party and must face the truth about her self in order to pursue justice.

CHARACTER LIST

JO – Jo is thick skinned and very smart, and can easily see through the fake people around her. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and doesn’t care what other people think. She only really trusts her best friend, Teddy, and we see the real her whenever she is with him.

TEDDY – Teddy is Jo’s best friend. He’s an all around good guy who will do anything for his friends, and generally puts the needs of those he cares about before his own. He likes to make his friends happy and is always pleasing people.

AUSTIN – Austin is your typical high school “All-American” boy who is loved by his fellow classmates, but he has a dark side that comes out around Jo. He puts on a front of being Mr. Perfect, and is quite charming and deceitful.

SAMANTHA – Samantha is the wannabe “Queen Bee.” She’s very rich and very pretty. More than anything, she wants to be validated by those around her. She’s mean, snarky, and at her core, quite insecure. Deep down, there may be some good in her, but what we see is nothing but evil.

DANIEL – Daniel is your class clown. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks, and loves to make a joke of every situation. He’s there for comedic affect and can always bring a little something extra to the party.

KATIE – Katie is Daniel’s girlfriend. Katie is just as goofy and fun as Daniel, but is definitely more intelligent. She’s witty, and likes to make a fool of herself, but knows when to take control and be serious. Katie is full of life and charisma.
